It’s a new dawn…

with a new dawn and a new day you have new opportunities, but you don’t need a new Thing.

Your Thing is your Thing is your Thing.

If you are keen for a new Thing, I’d argue you’ve not found yours yet. If you’re just keen for ‘new’ then look at what needs to be new and what doesn’t.

Because there’s “shiny object” new, and there’s “Let’s just try something a little different, based on what we know already works” new. The latter new is a much better and more productive new.

What to do when your Marketing isn’t working

Now here’s the thing with Marketing–for some reason, we’ve been conditioned to expect it to work ‘instantly’. In technical (ish) terms, that’s called ‘Direct Response’… in the olden days, this looked like an ad in a magazine with a ‘reply coupon’ or a postcard you sent off to get details, or an offer you could phone up and buy right away. And yes, of course we still have ‘instant’ marketing today–there are ads online (in Facebook and Google, etc.) that often will ‘sell’ directly as a result of you seeing them.
